Vienna #1

I just had my first day off yesterday  and spent it with a colleague in Vienna’s center.

At first we were just walking around and entered randomly every church we saw.

The churches in Vienna are all so amazingly fancy! This one is the “Elisabethinen Kirche”. A really small but really beautiful one.

The next one was the Russian Orthodox Cathedral Vienna also kown as the Cathedral of St. Nikolaus. Really amazing.

At the moment there are plenty of Gustav Klimt exhibition in Vienna since it’s his 150th anniversairy and the Belvedere is showing his favourite paiting “The Kiss”. *fangirling* Since it’s one of my favourite paintings I had to get in!!

The building itself is so stunning! It was used to the summerresidence for the prince so all the rooms are really really fancy!

The view from the upper Belvedere at the garden.

And of course we got hungry as well and get ourself some austrian food. We found a really nice place called “Opocensky” next to the Belvedere. It’s a small high quality grocery store which also has a small section to enjoy your lunch. They are offering a weekly changing menu with fresh ingredients.

“Eierschwammerl in Rahmsauce mit Knödel”. (Chanterelles in creamsauce with dumplings) Supercreamy and superyummy. ♥

Later on we found a frozen yoghurt-bar by accident and went in. I love it. ♥

So that’s it so far! I hope you had a lovely day as well!

Kiss and hugs from Vienna ♥
